Enjoy 27 kilometers of the best Grade 5 rafting you could ever experience. Up to 12 rapids are run on this full day section of the mighty River Nile. Four of them are Grade 5 and are guaranteed to get your heart pumping and adrenaline flowing. Watch out for "Total Gunga", "Big Brother", "Over Time" and the simply awesome "The Bad Place". You do not need to know how to swim to do this. Safety is at a premium and therefore you do not need to fear at all. NGAMBA CHIMPANZEE ISLAND SANCTUARY

You would be privileged to see chimpanzees close up and contribute to their conservation in the wild. The sanctuary aims to educate visitors and local communities about this remarkable species and the importance of conserving their fragile forest habitat. Here you would view a morning or afternoon feeding of the chimpanzees from the visitors' raised platform along the edge of the sanctuary's fence, hear an informative talk by sanctuary staff and enjoy the island's beautiful views and natural wildlife.{ www.ngambaisland.org}

KAMPALA CITY TOUR

We would visit Uganda Museum, Nommo Gallery, Baha'i Temple, Makerere University, Kasubi Tombs, Owino Market, and much more. Lunch is not included, but transport provided to one of the many restaurants in Kampala. In the afternoon, enjoy guided shopping.

JINJA / SOURCE OF THE NILE TOUR

Our most popular day trip!! Visit Jinja, east of Uganda to see Sezibwa Falls, Mabira Forest, Bujagali Rapids and the Source of the Nile. Jinja is the former industrial capital and is now the Adventure capital. The town is quaint with a lot of Art Deco Architecture.

US$ 250 total for a full day trip including lunch and transport for 02 persons

US$ 50 for each extra person

Additional activities in Jinja are:

Notes on Gorilla Tracking

Please note that gorilla tracking is a strenuous activity and one should be physically fit to enjoy this tour. Minimum tracking age is 15 years. Anyone with signs of communicable diseases will NOT be allowed to track .

While possession of a gorilla permit is a guarantee of trekking and sighting the gorillas, the quality of the gorilla trekking cannot be guaranteed. Maximum time allowed with the gorillas will NOT exceed ONE hour. We strongly recommend the following: Rain poncho (lightweight), long-sleeved shirt, waterproof trousers, sturdy hiking boots, leather gardening -type gloves, sunscreen, insect repellent and any necessary medications must be brought by yourselves either from your home town or from Kampala. Still Cameras and Camcorders are allowed, but bring batteries and film from Kampala.

On confirmation, please advise the following details:

  • Full names as they appear in your passports
  • Nationality
  • Passport numbers.

Please understand that gorilla permits are booked on a "first come first served" CASH basis and therefore can be snapped up by anybody. Please do make a decision as soon as you can in order to avoid disappointment.

Please note that Gorilla tracking is date specific, so you will need to advise exact dates of travel and I will go ahead and advise availability.
